It is a wonderful time to be a nurse! 

Each and every day nurses throughout Frederick Memorial Hospital have the unique opportunity to affect the lives of the patients they care for in real and meaningful ways.  The sorrows and joys of life are not events that reveal themselves through the annonimity of a television screen, but unfold right before our eyes in real time.  It is our duty to grieve and share the sorrow of those in pain and despair; and our pleasure to revel in the joy of new life and cure.

As FMH grows into the 21st century with new medical disciplines, advanced surgical capabilities and state-of-the-art technology, our nurses will remain central to our mission and vision; an invaluable driving force behind the superb quality care provided to our community. In fact, the division of nursing has committed to attaining national recognition as a Magnet hospital - a recognition bestowed to only those hospitals that provide the very best nursing care.

I pledge to our patients that the care they will receive by the nurses throughout the Frederick Memorial Hospital will be second to none.  We consider it our priviledge to care for you and your family, and an honor to be called a nurse.
